Accurate results even
with large tilt angles

The IMU-based tilt compensation in Reach RS3 enables you to make measurements with up to 60 degrees of tilt while still staying within 20 mm of accuracy.

Reach RS3 continuously measures and corrects tilt in real-time to keep you on target.

Survey and stakeout faster
No need to check the bubble

Effortless and robust
IMU tilt compensation

Calibration-free

We calibrate the inertial measurement unit in each device individually at the factory, so you can get your GNSS unit up and running right out of the box.

Immune to magnetic disturbances

Unaffected by magnetic fields, RS3’s GNSS and IMU sensors provide robust tilt compensation even when working close to metal structures.

Quick initialization

Tilt initialization takes about 20 meters of walking or 10-20 seconds of tilting. Usually ready on the way from the car.

Rapid and Reliable GNSS receiver

Gets a fix in 5 seconds

Reach RS3 gets a centimeter-accurate solution in about 5 seconds. It maintains high-precision and robust performance even when the sky view is partially obstructed, or the receiver itself is tilted.

GPS/QZSS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo L1C/A, L2C, L1OF, L2OF,B1I, B2I, E1B/C, E5b

RINEX logging and PPP support

16 GB storage
160+ days of logging at 1 Hz

Up to 22 hours on 1 charge

Reach RS3 comes equipped with a built-in, industrial-grade battery that can endure up to 22 hours of logging or 18 hours of working with tilt in RTK. For uninterrupted multi-day operation, simply connect a power bank, just like you would with your mobile phone.

User reviews

The opportunities the tilt compensation opened up for us were fantastic. Building corners and walls are now a breeze, also for recording points that are just a bit too far under cover.

If you're in the industry, tilt compensation is something you have to try. Emlid has once again brought this feature within reach for a wide audience, I can't wait to see the creative ways people will start putting this to use on the forums or user groups.

Well done Emlid, let's see what you come up with next!

The Reach RS3 is a game-changer for my team. The tilt compensation allows accurate surveying of hard-to-reach points, and building corners and walls can now be shot directly without using offsets.

The RS3 with tilt compensation is here and I have been able to test out the beauty. The fact that you don’t have to hold the rod level for measuring or setting marks is so refreshing and makes the job much easier and faster.

This is a long-awaited feature that many users have been asking for over the years. Emlid has finally released its new model, the RS3 with tilt compensation. Those of us who work on the building site and facilities, in general, know that tilt compensation will make the job significantly easier.

A note about my experiences with the RS3: I love the RS3. It has all the well-established functionality of the RS2/RS2+ with the added benefit of tilt compensation.

On our project in Jordan this summer, it allowed us to collect points quickly, in tight places, in both our excavation units and as part of our larger-scale archaeological landscape survey.

This is a great addition to the Emlid lineup and will be extremely useful for users looking to speed up data collection or who are working in challenging environments.

We have had the opportunity to use the new Emlid RS3 with new features that have surprised us with their usefulness and easy handling.

Its small size and lightness, as well as its accessibility to NTRIP FIX services, make it one of the best on the market. As a professional architect and surveyor, this new tool gives me the security and guarantee of a point that I know is well located.

Today the RS3 along with all the innovations that Emlid has given it, becomes one of our most important tools for geospatial data collection.
