DevOps Engineer

At Emlid, we make modern professional geodetic equipment for highly accurate measurements. We develop both hardware and software ourselves, and constantly communicate with our users to gather feedback that inspires us to enhance our products.

Our team is united by a shared interest in research, deep engagement in tasks, and a collective drive for excellence — and we welcome those who share our values and approach to work.

Now we’re looking for a new DevOps Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure;
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines so developers can test and ship their services without manual steps or DevOps involvement;
  • Set up observability (monitoring, alerting, and logging) so the team can see the performance and reliability of our services;
  • Automate routine operations and manage infrastructure as code.

Our tech stack:

  • Platform: Ubuntu, Docker, Kubernetes (DOKS);
  • IaC & config management: Terraform, Ansible, Helm;
  • CI & CD: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD;
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch;
  • Cloud: DigitalOcean, Cloudflare;
  • Security and Access: Hashicorp Vault, Auth0.

Examples of tasks:

  • Migrate deployed Hashicorp Vault from 1.X to 2.X;
  • Prepare Grafana dashboard and prometheus alerting rules for a new service;
  • Integrate E2E tests into the release pipeline;
  • Investigate Prometheus alerts;
  • Set up observability for release/tests pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab;
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines;
  • Experience setting up monitoring and logging for distributed systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar);
  • Hands-on experience with at least one programming language, preferably Python;
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Your advantage would be:

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible;
  • Experience with secrets management;
  • Using AI agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in your day-to-day work;
  • A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

What we offer:

  • Time off — 20 days off per year, plus 5 public holidays per year.
  • Sick leave — up to 10 days per year, during which your contract payment will remain unchanged.
  • Flexible start time for working hours — We understand that everyone has different schedules, so you can start your workday anytime before 12 PM CET/CEST.
  • Work setup — We provide all the necessary tools and licenses for a comfortable and effective workflow.
  • Streamlined processes — Only focused, purposeful meetings and clear workflows, so you can actually get things done.
  • Growth and development — We encourage your professional journey by offering learning opportunities, mentorship, and space to take on new challenges.
