Application Engineer

Emlid makes modern professional geodetic equipment for highly accurate measurements. Our devices are used worldwide for surveying, to create maps and digital terrain models, for archaeological excavations and scientific research.

Now we are looking for an Application Engineer to our office in Budapest.

Responsibilities

  • ensuring flawless users’ workflow with our devices and software;
  • assisting them on questions about our products and different coordinate systems usage;
  • reproducing use-cases and user issues and helping them work through technical difficulties;
  • studying our product and related technologies (RTK, PPK, GNSS, GIS, mapping) as well as the peculiarities of coordinate system conversions in different countries;
  • providing feedback to developers on new and existing software versions;
  • developing educational content with a technical writer, Design, and Marketing teams.

What we expect from you

  • a high school diploma or equivalent;
  • at least 1 year of experience in GIS-related sphere or as a Technical Support Engineer;
  • English fluency both written and spoken (Upper-intermediate level or higher);
  • strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills;
  • understanding of customer service practices.
