Embedded Linux Developer

Now we’re looking for a new Embedded Linux Developer to join our team in Budapest.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the Linux kernel stack: configuration, modification, and development of drivers and device trees.
• Integration and configuration of peripheral devices, including cameras and other sensors.
• Development of images for embedded devices based on Yocto.
• Development using modern SoM/SoC platforms with ARM architecture.
• Contribute to the development of C++ middleware.
• Collaborate closely with the electronics engineering team and the testing engineer.

Our tech stack:

• C/C++, Python.
• Linux kernel and bootloaders (U-Boot, ARM Trusted Firmware).
• Yocto Project.
• gcc, cmake.
• systemd, D-Bus, redis, udev, blueZ, mender.

Requierements:

• Proficiency in C/C++ with at least 2 years of development experience.
• Solid understanding of Linux principles.
• Experience with Yocto or other build systems (Buildroot/LFS/Gentoo).
• Familiarity with ARM architecture.
• Understanding of peripheral bus protocols (UART, I2C, SPI).
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Your advantage would be:

• Experience with camera integration and configuration in Linux (V4L2, Media Controller, CSI/DSI interfaces).
• Knowledge of video streaming (GStreamer, FFmpeg, RTP/RTSP).
• Ability to read schematics and work with digital electronics.
