Senior Technical Writer

Now we’re looking for a new Senior Technical Writer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep, hands-on knowledge of our products and the technologies behind them (Git, RTK, PPK, GNSS, mapping, construction) by using the products directly and keeping up as they evolve.
  • Own the technical documentation end-to-end: planning, writing, and publishing new content in English, and continuously improving what already exists.
  • Define and maintain documentation standards for style, structure, and tone, and review the team’s work to ensure consistent quality.
  • Maintain and improve the documentation portal, and work to grow its traffic and usefulness to readers.
  • Own the documentation roadmap and plan the team’s work so that documentation for new features ships on time and in sync with each product release.
  • Work as part of a small technical writing team, contributing to shared standards and mentoring a junior writer through reviews and day-to-day guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Localization Manager to support cross-language localization of our documentation.
  • Work closely with the Software Development, Support, and Marketing teams to keep documentation accurate and aligned with product changes, including supporting Marketing with technical blog articles.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written English (C1 / Advanced or above).
  • Proven experience writing technical documentation.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a team of writers.
  • Strong skills in analyzing and structuring information.
  • Experience in planning and managing documentation work across multiple releases.
  • Hands-on experience with a docs-as-code approach (e.g. Markdown/AsciiDoc, Git, pull-request reviews, static site generators, CI/CD for docs).

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Experience working alongside software or engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of web development basics.
  • Familiarity with GNSS, surveying, GIS, or other geospatial tools.
  • Experience with a docs-as-code workflow or documentation-portal platforms.
