Hardware Product Manager

At Emlid, we make modern professional geodetic equipment for highly accurate measurements. We develop both hardware and software ourselves, and constantly communicate with our users to gather feedback that inspires us to enhance our products.

Our team is united by a shared interest in research, deep engagement in tasks, and a collective drive for excellence — and we welcome those who share our values and approach to work.

Now we’re looking for a new Hardware Product Manager to join our team in Budapest.

Ensuring team synergy and a transparent process from R&D to manufacturing.

  • Preparation and approval of technical requirements: gathering requirements, feature specs, defining SLAs, device and platform architecture.
  • Quality monitoring and feedback: post-launch monitoring, collecting user feedback, analyzing metrics, and implementing improvements for future iterations.
  • Communication and reporting: delivering stakeholder updates to internal and external parties; communication with contractors and suppliers.

Our tech stack:

  • Participation in hardware and embedded development: MCUs (C/C++), Linux, PCB prototyping, testing.
  • Following process-oriented approaches: Agile/iterative, Scrum or Kanban, release planning systems, Git repository, CI/CD for firmware.

What we expect:

  • 3–5 years of experience in hardware projects (project/product management).
  • Embedded background: microcontrollers, firmware, Linux, hardware prototyping and testing.
  • Knowledge of the life cycle of physical product development and production launch.
  • Ability to analyse data, manage budgets, finances, and margin.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Your advantage would be:

  • Hands-on embedded development experience: C/C++, MCUs, Linux, STM32, etc.
  • Experience with IoT or smart device development.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI testing for hardware, usability, and root cause analysis.
